About

The Ohio “Darke” Solar Eclipse Rally will take place on April 6th through 9th, 2024, at the Darke County Fairgrounds, located in Greenville, Ohio, just northwest of Dayton, OH.

The goal is to have approximately 40 to 45 units although we do have a little flexibility, and the Fairground has a large number of sites. The cost for a site is $30 per night, with electric; water and dump available on the grounds. You can stay longer if you choose.

The Rally will be a fairly informal event. There is a strong likelihood of a shared meal, and a meet and greet. General interest sessions are also anticipated. The fairground is anticipating hosting events and having food trucks on site, the day of the eclipse.

There are many great attractions in the area. The Neil Armstrong First Man on the Moon Space Museum; the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum, the Garst Museum , which features local history including Annie Oakley, the Dayton Art Institute; all of the Wright Brothers facilities; the Bicycle Museum of America; and the Airstream factory, which features factory tours. Additionally, there are wineries, varied shops, including quilting; good restaurants and more. There is a Mexican restaurant and a bakery both across the street.

The weather in April in Ohio can’t be guaranteed as great , but there is a good chance of clear skies. Temperatures, in 2023, in early April, in Ohio, reached into the 80’s. Later in April the weather was in the 40’s. There are three other V/N Eclipse rallies planned, two in Arkansas, one in Texas, that “could” have better weather.
