The self-guided tour is a 45-minute tour and costs $14. The entire ‘Experience’ is reported to take 2 hours. Tickets are required. Procure ahead of time.
Dinner is planned for Steamboat Bill’s, 1004 N Lakeshore Dr, Lake Charles, LA 70601, GPS 30.237899056822226, -93.22859467552217. For a large restaurant, the Cajun Food is very good. It has a large parking lot, and I can transport eight or nine people in my RV. The Boiled Crawfish is excellent, and you should order something that comes with a ‘Louisiana Roll’. The first time I was there, I had two appetizers for dinner so I could taste a variety of dishes.
Campground Details:
White Oak Park, LA, is located on the west fork of the Calcasieu River, just 4 miles off Interstate 10. White Oak Park, provides electricity, and a dump station. I have a reservation in Site 6.
Sam Houston Jones was given its current name in honor of the state’s 46th governor, the park provides electricity, water, showers and a dump station.
We have 12 coaches and 20 people coming from Fairview-Riverside State Park. There will be an additional 4 coaches and 6 people arriving at either Park.
