Step from your RV right into history as you walk the paths and streets like George Washington, share a pint of ale in King’s Arms Tavern, dine exquisitely for lunch or dinner and visit magnificently restored homes and buildings! A few centuries ago, the leaders of our new nation met in Williamsburg making plans to change the course of our nation.
Williamsburg is at the heart of what is often called “America’s Historic Triangle” which encompasses Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown. There is much here for history buffs. There is a free trolley in Yorktown with stops at various places of interest.
A note of caution; although the Colonial National Historic Parkway that runs between Yorktown and Jamestown is a very enjoyable and relaxing drive, there are two tunnels with a low clearance (10′ 4″ and 10′ 6″) that our View/Navions won’t fit under. You will be fine in a toad, however.
Reminder: National voting occurs on November 5, 2024, make sure you request an absentee ballot or vote early.
